Medical Assistant

Anne

Anne Maynes is Dr. Ferguson’s medical assistant. She closely interacts with patients in clinic and over the phone. She is also a key person in helping breast cancer patients reach the final stage of feeling whole again through her training in areola reconstruction with micropigmentation.

Anne has always been drawn to work that is centered in helping others. As early as high school, she began her training as a Medical Assistant. She fell in love with the job and have worked in the medical field ever since. She worked as a CNA in a home for the disabled and an MA for several years in pediatrics. She joined Dr. Ferguson’s clinic in 2009.

Working in Plastic Surgery has been an exciting experience for her. She feels like she is learning something every day, which is something she craves. In addition to changing dressings, rooming patients, calling your insurance company for authorizations on surgeries and so forth, she is a trained specialist in permanent cosmetics. Patients appreciate that when it is time for the final stage of areola pigmentation/tattooing, they will have this done by someone they have interacted with through their entire reconstruction.

Travis thinks providing compassion and easy to understand communication is imperative for a successful patient experience. His goal is to provide superior medical care and improve the overall quality of life of patients.

Travis is a first assistant for Dr. Ferguson’s complex surgeries, takes after-hour calls from patients, and collaboratively provides inpatient and outpatient clinic care. Since 2007, he has had a strong interest combating the aging process that led him to advanced training in cosmetic injections that include Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Juvederm®, Restylane® and Perlane®. One recent example of how Travis strives to expand his knowledge and skill is his recent development of Remington Renew: Scar and Blemish Cream™.
